#Review Q&A ~ PRIMROSE LANE By Debbie Mason ~ @AuthorDebMason

PRIMROSE LANE
Series: Harmony Harbor, #3
By Debbie Mason

Review:

Primrose Lane is the first chance I have had to read Debbie Mason's work and it sure will not be the last. This story was one of those that reached out and touched my heart.

Olivia Davenport has been through so much and suffered so much heartache. This lady so deserved to find a touch of happiness even if it arrives in very unexpected ways. Olivia is not exactly thrilled when she first learns that she is the chosen guardian of the daughter her husband had with another women. George has been through a lot and isn't thrilled to be living with Olivia either. Their relationship starts really rocky but they just might be what the doctor ordered for each other.

Speaking of doctors,  Dr. Finn Gallagher's relationship with Olivia starts out pretty rocky too. Finn really is a good guy and has the best of intentions. It just doesn't come off that way to Olivia. These two have some interesting moments that frustrates both of them. There is an attraction that grows through those interesting and frustrating moments.

I love when there are kids and family involved in the story line. It adds so much to the story. I loved the interaction with George. She really is a sweet girl and hasn't had an easy life either. Then there is the mystery, suspense, and drama that is so well written. I was so surprised by a few of the interesting twists that Ms. Mason has added at just the right times to make this one really page turner of a book. I don't want to tell you too much because there is so much that happens in this book. You really need to grab a copy for yourself so that you may enjoy all those twists, turns, and drama for your self. There is moments that had me laughing, moments that I shed some tears, and other moments that totally stole my breathe.

This is book three of the Harmony Harbor series. I haven't had a chance to read the other books in the series but I have a feeling they are great stories too.

I was given the opportunity to read this great book and it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

Q&A with Debbie Mason:

Q: What are you currently working on?
A: Right now, I’m writing Shay Angel and Michael Gallagher’s book. Driftwood Cove opens two years after Shay and Michael’s short story, Christmas with an Angel, ended.

Q: Where did you come up with the idea for either your current release or your current WIP?
ABoth ideas came to me when I first began brainstorming the Harmony Harbor series, but they’ve evolved a bit since then.

Q: Do you have a favorite snack that you like to munch on while writing? If so, would you mind sharing what it is with us?
A: I don’t eat while I’m writing, I drink copious amounts of black coffee. But if something isn’t working in the story, I’ll go downstairs and eat a tablespoon—or two—of peanut butter and mull over the problem.

Q: When you are not busy writing wonderful stories to keep us lucky readers entertained, what do you like to do? Do you have a hobby?
A: Aww, that’s very sweet of you to say, Crystal. Thanks. The one downside of doing a job that you absolutely love and are passionate about is that you can become a bit of a workaholic. Which is why, other than spending time with my family, and reading, I don’t do much else other than write. But I’m working on having a more balanced life. I love photography and knitting and plan to start doing more of both. I want to learn how to hand color black and white photographs.

Q: Do you have a favorite background noise you like to have going while you write (TV, music, kids playing)?
A: I don’t mind the sounds of birds singing or kids playing outside my open office window when I’m writing, but I prefer no noise. Although when I’m deep in the story, I don’t hear anything.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Olivia Davenport has finally gotten her life back together. She's left her painful past behind, started over in a new town, and become Harmony Harbor's most sought-after event planner. But her past catches up to her when Olivia learns that she's now guardian of her ex's young daughter. With her world spinning, Olivia must reconcile her old life with her new one. And she doesn't have time for her new next door neighbor, no matter how handsome he is.

Olivia may act like she's got everything under control, but Dr. Finn Gallagher knows a person in over her head when he sees one. He'd really like to be the shoulder she leans on, but Olivia makes it clear she doesn't want his help. Since he's returned to town, his waiting room has been full of single women feigning illness. Yet the one woman he's interested in is avoiding him. But with a little help from some matchmaking widows and a precocious little girl, Finn might just win Olivia over.
